KANSAI successfully looks forward to 1st IR
～Pave the way for entertainment capital “Osaka”～

"KANSAI IR Showcase" the event specializing in integrated resort and casino (IR) was held at large-scale complex facility “Grand front Osaka” on April 27 while the circumstances that legalization of bill for IR so called implementation bill progress in the Diet.

Osaka prefectural Governor Ichiro Matsui showed his enthusiasm of attracting IR to Osaka at the opening greetings and stated "I want to make Osaka the entertainment capital as big city where the great number of tourists visit from all over the world".

And Toru Hashimoto, former Mayor of the Osaka stated in the conference hall "There is a case the public survey in Osaka shows certain supportive opinion." as a keynote speaker at his lecture titled "The Future of IR, Osaka, Kansai" and he explained the economic impact of IR.
And he also said it is important to boost local momentum through the cooperation of both public and private sectors in Kansai area.

Organized by Tokyo based TRADESHOW ORGANIZERS INC., bringing lawmakers, municipal tourism organizations, key industry entrepreneur and six leading casino operators from the US and Asia that exhibited in the expo hall, for the performance of their IR management in existence markets. Each operator introduced their basic concept of Osaka IR and own entertainment business, policy of hospitality and expected contribution to the community.

Regional organizations of neighboring municipalities also set up the stand to promote regional tourism in the Kansai area surrounding Osaka, a leading IR candidate in Japan.
In addition, the exhibition organizer and media firm participated in the hall to introduce MICE industry in Japan.

The event was held on a 2-day schedule as the first day is Business Day and the second day was open to the public as a good opportunity to disseminate IR not only for business discussion but also the introduction functional IR to local citizens.

The day 27th April was the timing that national government decided to submit implementation bill at the cabinet meeting. Osaka is one of the leading candidates and raised their delighted voice at the event hall.
